EOS in the Welsh language means ‘nightingale’ - very appropriate for a society known for the quality of its singing.
The Society was founded in the West Midlands in 1958. 2008 marks its fiftieth anniversary. During its history it has won many awards for its productions which have been devoted almost entirely to the wonderful music of Gilbert & Sullivan.
No auditions are required to join the Society and the chorus rehearses once a week.
The Society rehearses at Blackwood Methodist Church on Blackwood Road, Streetly, B74 3PL on Wednesday evening at 8.00pm. It currently stages its productions at Sutton Coldfield Town Hall.
